JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs officially released the Ministerial Regulation (Permen) of Komdigi Number 8 of 2025 regarding Commercial Post Services, to strengthen the logistics ecosystem in the country.
Minister of Trade Meutya Hafid explained that this Permen presents 5 main points to strengthen our logistics ecosystem as a whole. First, related to the expansion of service coverage through collaboration between industry players, to reach 50% of provinces in Indonesia.
Second, this Permen will also regulate improving the quality of services and protection for consumers, so that people can easily choose services that are safe, comfortable, and trustworthy.
"Third, building a stronger and more efficient industrial ecosystem. We know that in this industry we are also competing who is the biggest, but the most important thing is how much can grow together," Meutya said at a press conference on Friday, May 16.
In addition, this Permen is also expected to maintain a healthy business climate with a spirit of justice and balance. And the last point is to encourage environmentally friendly technology adoption.
"Because this game must also be visionary in the future. For a better future, we believe that this industry must also switch to green logistics. And this is not only a demand, but as our shared responsibility," said Meutya, who is also the Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party.

Meutya added that this Permen is expected to develop industrial dynamics in a healthy and balanced manner. Because according to him, delivery couriers have become the backbone of the distribution of goods, during the COVID-19 period.
"If we remember, when the world was almost stopped due to the pandemic or even stopped due to the pandemic at that time, the couriers continued to move. At that time it was recorded that the highest figure was that more than 7 million packages per day were successfully delivered when we experienced COVID-19," he concluded.
