Prabowo-PM Australia Albanese Exchanged Jersey National Team

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto and Australian Prime Minister (PM) Anthony Albanese exchanged jerseys for national football teams from their respective countries of origin, after a lunch at the State Palace, Jakarta.

The second moment of lunch was warm with President Prabowo sitting side by side with PM Albanese, and accompanied by a number of ministers who were at the same table with the two leaders, including Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian and Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong.

Reported by ANTARA, Thursday, May 15, after lunch, Prabowo was seen giving the Indonesian national team jersey number 31 to PM Albanese. For information, Albanese is the 31st Prime Minister of Australia.

Meanwhile, PM Albanese also provided a yellow-green Australian team jersey with the jersey number 08. This number signifies Prabowo, who is the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia.

The lunch menu provided by the Palace is for President Prabowo and PM Albanese, namely gado-gado, cerean bendang serani, bakar tawang chicken, and sweet foods made from coffee.

The afternoon meal became the last activity in the series of official welcoming ceremonies of PM Albanese at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.

President Prabowo and PM Albanese had previously held a one-on-one meeting and bilateral meetings with their respective delegates, as well as a joint press statement at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.

PM Albanese chose Indonesia as the first country on his official visit, after being re-elected as head of the country's government through the Australian Parliament Election. PM Albanese visited Indonesia for three days on May 14-16, 2025.
