Sugar Group Boss Reported To KPK Regarding Zarof Ricar Bribery Case

JAKARTA - The Anti-Corruption Society Civil Coalition reported the owners of Sugar Group Company, PL and GY to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The report was made in connection with the bribery case of former Supreme Court (MA) official Zarof Ricar, who is currently being tried at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN).

The Anti-Corruption Society Civil Coalition consists of the Civil Coalition to Save Mines (KSST), the Indonesia Police Watch (IPW), the Indonesian Struggle Democracy Team (TPDI), and the Movement Peradi.

"Anyway, the leadership of the Sugar Group," said the Coordinator of the Anti-Corruption Society Civil Coalition, Ronald Loblobly at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted on Thursday, May 15.

In addition, the coalition also reported S who is a judge.

In his report, Ronald said Zarof stated that he received Rp50 billion so that the Attorney General's Office would not handle the Sugar Group case.

Therefore, the KPK is expected to take over the case. "Because it turns out that there was no summons to the Sugar Group and we indicate that there is protection against the purpose of the bribe," he said.

When reporting, the Anti-Corruption Society Civil Coalition brought a number of documents.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Attorney General's Office, Harli Siregar, said that Zarof's case had not yet been handled because his party was focusing on dealing with money laundering (TPPU). However, he appreciated the report.

"So related to this, of course we still respect each aspiration, view and even complaints and reports submitted by community groups," said Harli on a separate occasion.

"Secondly, of course, if it is reported to the agency, let's say friends at the KPK, of course, we have to wait for the KPK's (report, ed) attitude," he continued.

In the future, Harli does not rule out the possibility that the Adhyaksa Corps will coordinate with the anti-corruption commission if necessary. "The opportunity is there," he said.

"Because, right, like this media information, community groups report there, of course, what is the attitude of it. Is it, for example, that the KPK will need information, of course we will convey it. However, the information I conveyed earlier is actually input for the KPK for us," concluded Harli.
