Gosh, ASN Corruption Incentive For Remote Elementary School Teachers In Boven Digoel Is IDR 1.5 Billion

JAKARTA - The incentive fund for remote elementary school (SD) teachers amounting to Rp1,546,500,000 is suspected of being corrupted by the Army, who is the Head of the Basic Education Technical Personnel Section of the Boven Digoel Regency Education Office, Papua.

Reported by Antara, Friday, April 30, the Army is currently being held at the Boven Digoel Police Chief in Tanah Merah, said Boven Digoel Police Chief AKBP Syamsul Rizal.

Admittedly, from reports received of irregularities in primary school teacher incentive funds in very remote areas in the Boven Digoel Education Office for the 2016 and 2017 academic years.

The investigation report (BAP) has been declared complete or P21 by the Merauke District Attorney, so that the evidence and the suspect will be submitted for further processing.

This case, said Rizal, was based on the audit report on the calculation of state financial losses by the BPKP Representative of Papua dated 31 July 2019 related to incentive funds for elementary school teachers in very remote areas of Boven Digoel Regency in 2016 and 2017.

In the report, it was revealed that there were irregularities that resulted in state financial losses amounting to Rp1,546,500,000.

The mode used by the suspect was to order the treasurer of the local Education Service in 2016 and 2017 to deposit the incentive funds into the Basic Education Sector account and transfer from the regional treasury to the account of the Education Office.

After the funds were deposited in the account of the Basic Education Sector, the suspect then withdrew it and part of it was distributed to the recipient and part of it was used for personal gain.

The AD suspect is charged with the primary suspicion of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code, Subsidiary of Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code, said AKBP Syamsul Rizal who was contacted from Jayapura.
