TNI Shooting Contact In Intan Jaya With KKB Papua, Secure AK-47 And Morning Star Flag

The TNI secured two firearms (senpi) consisting of one AK-47 and assembled in a shootout with KKB in Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua.

During the firefight on Tuesday, May 13, Commander of the Habema Koops Media Task Force Lt. Col. Inf. Iwan Dwi Prihartono explained that as many as 18 KKB members were involved.

In addition to senpi, the TNI also confiscated ammunition of various calibers, bows and arrows, the Morning Star flag and communication tools.

Quoting Antara, Lt. Col. Inf. Iwan said, the TNI managed to sterilize the Sugapa Lama Village and Bambu Kuning Village areas from KKB Papua activities led by separatist Daniel Aibon Kogoya, Undius Kogoya, and Josua Waker.

TNI soldiers have also entered a number of villages in Sugapa District, namely Titigi Village, Ndugusiga, Jaindapa, Sugapa Lama, and Zanamba, to carry out peaceful missions in the form of health and education services to the community and secure the road construction plan to Hitadipa.

The arrival was manipulated by the KKB by spreading information that the arrival of the TNI would threaten people's lives.

"KKB also makes residents a shield," said Lt. Col. Inf. Iwan.

The head of the Sugapa Village Tribe, Melianus Wandegau, said that the KKB had indeed manipulated the presence of security forces as a threat, when in fact the authorities came with sincere intentions to help the community.

"We were promised KKB welfare, but in reality it was only used as a tool and shield to fight the TNI," said Melianus Wandegau.
