Australian PM Welcomed By Prabowo Subianto

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto welcomed the arrival of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Thursday, May 15 with a state ceremony. Previously, Anthony Albanese had arrived in Jakarta on Wednesday, May 14.

President Prabowo directly led the state ceremony and was marked by 19 cannon booms as a form of highest respect for the head of government of friendly countries. Thousands of students from elementary, junior high and high school levels were also present around the Monas area welcoming the arrival of the Australian PM. Indonesia became the first country the Australian PM visited after winning the elections in Australia.

Also welcomes the ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary, Teddy Indra Wijaya.

After the ceremony, President Prabowo and Albanese held a one-on-one meeting and focused on strengthening strategic cooperation in various sectors.
