Sultan Of Brunei Sets The Highest Star Of Greatness For President Prabowo
JAKARTA - The Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Hassanal Bolkiah pinned a sign that Brunei Darussalam's highest-ranking star "Darjah Kerabat Laila Utama Yang Amat Dihormati" (D. K.) told President Prabowo Subianto.
The embedding procession took place during a series of state visits by President Prabowo at Nurul Iman Palace, Begawan Series Bandar, Brunei Darussalam, Wednesday, May 14.
In several photos uploaded by Presidential Media Team Prabowo Subianto, the embedding of the flagship star DK was witnessed by a number of high-ranking officials of the Brunei Sultanate Darussalam and several ministers of the Red and White Cabinet.
Several ministers of the Red and White Cabinet who witnessed the procession of embedding the oversized star, namely Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, Minister for the Protection of Migrant Workers Abdul Kadir Karding, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
On a separate occasion, Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana, explained that the oversized star who was awarded to President Prabowo was the highest form of respect from the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam.
"The award for the Great State Star of Brunei Darussalam was given by the Brunei Sultanate as a form of highest respect to the head of state and world leaders who are considered to be instrumental in advancing cooperative relations with Brunei Darussalam," said Yusuf Permana.
President Prabowo visited Begawan Series Bandar, Brunei Darussalam, Wednesday, during a state visit and met with the Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah at the Nurul Iman Palace. President Prabowo departed from Jakarta at around 07.00 WIB, and landed at Brunei International Airport at 10.20 local time.
The President then transited at the hotel in the Begawan Seri Bandar area, then the President of the Republic of Indonesia was escorted to the Nurul Iman Palace by the Crown Prince of the Brunei Sultanate Darussalam Pangeran Al Muhtadee Billah.
At the Nurul Iman Palace, President Prabowo was greeted by a state ceremony. President Prabowo and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah then chaired the bilateral meeting of their respective countries' delegates.

After bilateral, which was also followed by the procession of embedding signs of oversized stars, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah hosted President Prabowo and the delegation of the Indonesian government for lunch. During the banquet, President Prabowo and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah each delivered their remarks regarding the close relationship between the two countries.
In his remarks, President Prabowo admitted that he felt very comfortable visiting Brunei. The President also thanked Brunei's remarks and acceptance to himself and the delegation of the Indonesian Government.
"I've been to Brunei Darussalam a lot, it's been a while, and I also feel very comfortable here. I feel like I want to stay here longer," said President Prabowo.
After the two leaders gave their remarks, the Sultan of Brunei and President Prabowo and the delegation of two countries had lunch together at Nurul Iman Palace.
The President then returned to his homeland Wednesday afternoon at around 14.30 local time, after the President completed all his state agenda in Brunei Darussalam.
