There Is A Serious Conversation Between Warner And Michael B. Jordan About The Role Of Superman
JAKARTA - There is interesting news for DC Comics fans, especially Superman characters. Michael B. Jordan is reportedly in talks with Warner Bros. regarding the role of Man of Steel, replacing Henry Cavill who is rumored to be leaving this role.
Jordan sat down with Warner Bros, director JJ Abrams and his production company, Bad Robot, where Warner reportedly wants to attract the attention of a more modern audience and sees the prospect of a black Superman designation as positive for the diversity of the superhero universe. .
The report states that the latest Superman film is unlikely to be released until around 2023 considering that so far no script has been made or a director appointed. Meanwhile Jordan is also busy focusing on Black Panther 2.
Despite these reported advances, Henry Cavill doesn't seem particularly interested in relinquishing the role. "The coat is in the closet. It's still mine," he told Men's Health in a recent interview.
"I have not given up this role," he continued. "There's a lot I have to give Superman. A lot of storytelling to do. A lot of real and true depth to the character honesty I want to convey.
