Dedi Mulyadi Promises IDR 50 Million Aid For Families Of Garut Explosion Victims
Garut Regent Abdusy Syakur Amin said he would immediately investigate the number of family members who were victims of the ammunition explosion in Cibalong District, Garut Regency. This step is a follow-up to the promise of West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi who will provide assistance to the families of the victims.
"Okay, we will record it later," said Regent Abdusy Syakur while visiting the Pameungpeuk Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Garut, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
The Regent of Garut was present to accompany the Governor of West Java and staff from the West Java Regional Police and the Siliwangi Regional Military Command III during a visit to the Pameungpeuk Hospital, where the victims were identified. There, they also met the families of the victims of the explosion.
During the meeting, Governor Dedi Mulyadi conveyed the government's commitment to provide assistance to each head of the victim's family amounting to Rp50 million. In addition, the government will also bear the cost of educating the victim's children to the university level.
The governor asked the Garut Regent to immediately record the number of families of victims who are entitled to receive assistance, including children who will get education rights.
"Later, there will be a regent," said Dedi Mulyadi while talking to the victim's family at the Pameungpeuk Hospital.
One of the victims' family members, Farid, expressed his gratitude for the government's concern and concern. He appreciated the promised assistance commitment, both in the form of financial allowances and educational dependents for the victims' children.

Previously, a violent explosion occurred in the coastal area of Sagara Village, Cibalong District, on Monday, May 12, 2025. The explosion occurred during the process of destroying ammunition, resulting in 13 deaths, consisting of four TNI members and nine civilians.
