Deputy Governor Of Kaltara Kunker To Inland, Absorb The Aspirations Of The People Of Pujungan And Bahau Hulu
MALINAU Deputy Governor (Deputy Governor) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Ingkong Ala visited Long Aran Village, Pujungan District, Malinau Regency, Monday (12/5).
The agenda for the Deputy Governor's working visit with a number of officials from the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Kaltara was to absorb the aspirations of the residents of two sub-districts, namely Pujungan and Bahau Ulu The meeting was held at the Long Aran Village Traditional Hall.
"There are several things that become complaints or expectations of residents in these two sub-districts such as electricity problems, infrastructure, education and other necessities," said Inkong Ala.
"I am also sad to hear the delivery from residents regarding the condition of the general high school (SMU) in these two sub-districts, such as the lack of study rooms," he continued.
The number of rooms in the Pujungan District High School is only three learning rooms so the learning process is divided into two.
"In addition, the condition of the school laboratory, teacher space, and other facilities needs are still minimal. Hopefully next year (2026) we can budget for educational needs in these two sub-districts," said Deputy Governor Ingkong.
Another problem, continued the Deputy Governor, was related to the need for clean water and electricity that had not been enjoyed by local residents.
"For this reason, I ask residents together with the sub-district government to map the potential for power plants with a hydropower system," he said.
The issue of transportation cost subsidies (SOA) to border areas is also the hope of the community to be increased.
"We will try to realize what these residents hope for next year, some will be realized, keep the spirit for the residents of the interior of Kaltara," he said.
