Maintaining Life Balance Through Mindful Space Design
JAKARTA - In the midst of a modern lifestyle trend that further emphasizes the importance of holistic health and balance of life, a new approach has emerged in the world of design and architecture, namely how living space can contribute to body fitness and peace of mind.
In this context, the presence of LIXIL at the ARCH.ID 2025 exhibition is in the spotlight that not only inspires, but also reflects on the future direction of residential design and living space.
The ARCH.ID 2025 exhibition which took place from 8 to 11 May at ICE BSD, Tangerang became a gathering place for creative thinkers, architects, and designers from all over Indonesia.
This year, the exhibition carries a more personal approach to life, highlighting how natural elements, especially air, can play a major role in creating a space experience that is not only beautiful, but also soothing and refreshing.
LIXIL introduced its revolutionary concept through the GROHE SPA, a product line that combines technological and aesthetic innovations to support a more mindful lifestyle.
"We believe that architecture and design have an important role in creating healthier and more balanced life experiences," said Arfindi Batubara, Marketing Director of LIXIL Water Technology Indonesia, from LIXIL's official statement.
Through the 'Health Through Water' philosophy of GROHE SPA, we want to show how air can be a medium to improve quality of life, not only as a basic necessity, but also as a source of comfort and peace," he continued.
Living a healthy life is now no longer just about eating or exercising, but also about creating spaces that are able to accommodate relaxation, contemplation, and recovery from daily frenzy.

Through the GROHE SPA, LIXIL presents a multisensory experience that combines touch, sound, light, aroma, and atmosphere in a harmonious manner. All of that is summarized in the Body & Mind Lifestyle Lounge, an installation designed not only to be seen, but to be felt.
Behind this deep concept, stands Yolodi + Maria Architects, an architectural firm known for its philosophical and contextual design approach. They also realized the LIXIL pavilion by cooperating with air elements in terms of literacy and symbolic in their Fas' draft.
One of the most striking elements is the air curtain that makes the pavilion, creating a dynamic but transparent space boundary, offering a meditative atmosphere for anyone crossing it.
"Inspired by the Latin phrase 'Salus Per Aquam' which means health through air, we designed the LIXIL pavilion at ARCH.ID to reflect the essential synergy between air, life, and architecture, in line with the basic principles of LIXIL products," said Maria Rosantina, founder of Yolodi + Maria Architects.
Gregorius Supie Yolodi, co-founder of the studio, clarifies the visual narrative they use in design.
"Usually, we designed this pavilion with air curtains on the entire fasad to create both spatial peculiarities as well as visually transparent between inside and outside activities. This element forms a colossal 'shower box' experience, allowing visitors to feel a unique and deep spatial dialogue between air and humans." Gregorius explained
Through his participation in ARCH.ID this year, LIXIL not only exhibits products, but conveys a manifesto, namely the best design is a design that cares about humans.
The innovation of GROHE SPA is a medium to convey the message that technology and comfort can be combined with awareness of movement, environment, and quality of life.
More than just a design trend, LIXIL brings us to a new understanding of how homes, bathrooms, even showers can be a healing room, both physically and emotionally.
And when the air is not only for cleaning, but also for calming and inspiring, we know that the future of a healthy and aware home of the needs of the soul is in sight.
