Google Changes 'G' Iconic Logo On IOS And Android After 10 Years
JAKARTA Google is famous for its iconic logo, namely the letter 'G' with a four-color mixture. This logo has been in use for almost ten years and has finally undergone recent changes.
Reporting from the findings of 9to5google, the four colors in the letter 'G' no longer look solid as before. Google still uses the red, yellow, green, and blue colors as before, but with a combination of gradation between the four colors.
That way, users will not see a dividing line between the color boundaries. This gradation makes the icon look more colorful and not monotonous as before. This new icon looks more in line with Gemini because the design is also relegated.
This logo update was first seen in the Google Search app for iOS on May 12, 2025. Meanwhile, the changes are still in the beta stage in the Google app for Android. Reportedly, this change was only seen on Android in version 16.18.

So far, Google has only updated the 'G' logo that is often seen in various applications. The company doesn't make any changes to its main logo, namely the word 'Google'. It's not known if Google will change the other logo.
Google last updated its logo in September 2015, when the company used the modern letter Product Sans for the first time. 'G' letters have been around for a long time, but not as they are currently used.
Google at that time was still using a small white 'g', while in the background it used blue. This design has been removed for a long time because it is considered ancient and does not follow the times.
