Toyota Uploads Latest RAV4 Image Teaser, Launched May 21

JAKARTA - The world's largest automotive manufacturer from Japan, Toyota is preparing to launch the latest generation of the RAV4 SUV globally.

This is evidenced by the manufacturer that it has revealed an image that hints at the presence of the sixth generation SUV. It is hoped that the latest RAV4 will have a significant different design than the current one.

Launching from Carscoops, Tuesday, May 13, the company hinted at the presence of the model through three images through the Toyota Motor Europe division.

The image shows that this car passes through various road conditions such as urban, rural, and footpaths covered in snow.

In addition, the company added to public curiosity by releasing two other teaser images showing signs of the next generation of RAV4 interior design.

The interior image uploaded by Toyota Motor Europe shows a clearer glimpse of its interior, showing the RAV4 interior design language almost resembles the latest Prius or bZ4X.

The manufacturer founded by Kiichiro Toyoda has made changes to the center console section and the persneling lever gets a design update.

Unfortunately, Toyota is still silent regarding further specifications. However, the public will know the full information when the SUV is launched on May 21.

Previously, this car had been caught being tested for some time. Wrapped in camouflage, it is estimated that the latest RAV4 will have a more radical design.

It is estimated that the new generation of RAV4 will carry a 1.5 liter turbocharged engine that has just been developed, but it is unlikely that it will be present in the latest model. On the other hand, the 2.5 liter engine and the already known plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system will return despite a slight increase in energy and efficiency.

Although it has not been confirmed further, this car is expected to be present in a pure EV version with the TNGA-K platform which has received a revision to accommodate the placement of batteries and electric motors.
