Vesak 2025, Minister Of Religion Nasaruddin Umar Inaugurates The Construction Of The Baru Wihara Ekayana Arama Building

Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar symbolically inaugurated the construction of the new Wihara Ekayana Arama building by signing an inscription in the celebration of Tri Suci Vesak Day 2025 which was held at the Indonesia Buddhist Center, Duri Kepa, West Jakarta, Monday, May 12, 2025.

Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar in addition to signing the inscription also gave a speech at the waisak celebration held by Wihara Ekayana Arama which was attended by thousands of Buddhists from various regions in Jakarta. They packed the temple to celebrate Vesak 2569 BE. The atmosphere of peace and the spirit of togetherness was felt since morning, marking the importance of this spiritual moment for the Indonesian Buddhist people.

During the celebration, the Head of Wihara Ekayana Arama, Bhante Aryamaidri Mahasthavira, announced the plan to build a new building that will function as a spiritual center, education, and social activity for Buddhists. This Waisak momentum strengthens our commitment to continue to instill good values, strengthen brotherhood, and build a peaceful Indonesia," he said.

The General Chairperson of the Vesak Committee, Andrie Wongso, emphasized that this year's theme, the Spirit of Togetherness for Advanced Indonesia, is a moral call for all religious people to uphold tolerance and wisdom for the progress of the nation.

In its closing message, Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar quoted an inspirational message, Who is serious, he will get it. Who runs, he will arrive, before signing the inscription as a symbol of the start of the construction of the new Wihara Ekayana Arama building.
