The Attorney General's Office Denies The TNI's Security Regarding Case Handling

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) stated that the security of TNI personnel at the High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) and the District Attorney's Office (Kejari) was not related to the handling of cases.

The Head of the Attorney General's Office, Harli Siregar, said that being involved by TNI personnel in security was merely a form of support for the Adhyaksa Corps.

"It has nothing to do with the handling of the case," said Harli when confirmed, Monday, May 12.

In addition, the security of the TNI in all prosecutors' offices in Indonesia is said to have been discussed for a long time. The cooperation was also managed by the AGO's Military Crimes sector.

"The security assistance from the TNI has been discussed long before as a form of operational cooperation carried out by the Pidmil ranks," said Harli.

Previously, the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak issued a Telegram Letter Number ST/1192/2025 dated May 6, 2025, regarding orders to the ranks to support the security of the Prosecutor's Office and the Prosecutor's Office throughout Indonesia.

Head of the Information Service of the Indonesian Army Brigadier General Wahyu Yudhayana said that the substance of the letter was related to security cooperation within the prosecutor's office. The letter was addressed to the ranks of the Commander of the Military Regional Command (Pangdam) of the Indonesian Army.

"What will be carried out in the future is institutional security cooperation, in line with the Jampidmil (Junior Attorney General for Military Crimes) structure at the prosecutor's office," Wahyu said.

In the letter, the ranks of the Indonesian Army were asked to prepare a platoon or 30 personnel for security at the Prosecutor's Office, and one team or 10 personnel at the Kejari level.

In addition, the telegram also explained that the implementation of the security assignment began in May 2025 until it was completed.
