Fabrizio Romano: Zubimendi Agrees To Arsenal, Klausul Rp1.1 Trillion Immediately Activated

JAKARTA - Arsenal are reported to have reached an oral agreement to recruit Martin Zubimendi from Real Spieded in the next season in a long-term contract. This was revealed by journalist transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

This agreement makes Arsenal only need to activate the release clause of the player from Spain which is estimated at 60 million euros (Rp1.1 trillion).

"Zubimendi has verbally agreed to sign a long-term contract... so the formal step must be followed immediately by Arsenal to activate the 60 million euro clause," Romano wrote in his X account, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, May 10.

"Zubi, ready to be the first player recruited next season," he added.

Zubimendi appeared in 44 games this season with two goals and two assists.

In total, the 27-year-old midfielder has featured in 232 games to produce 10 goals and nine assists.

Zubimendi is not Arsenal's new target, because he was once the Gunners' target last season, but he chose to stay at Socied.

If this transfer is realized, then Arsenal will win the competition with Real Madrid who are also interested in bringing Zubimendi to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Arsenal have been confirmed without a trophy this season after being eliminated by Paris Saint-Germain from the Champions League semi-finals with a 1-3 aggregate.

This weekend, they will play Liverpool at Anfield. Arsenal will pursue three points in this match for next season's Champions League tickets.
