BTN Encourages Gender Equality To Do The Work Environment
JAKARTA - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) encourages gender equality in the work environment by supporting the empowerment of Srikandi BTN in line with the Astacita of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto regarding gender equality.
President Director of BTN Nixon LP Napitupulu said that women's representation in the top management ranks was also part of the company's transformation to be more productive and adaptive to the changing times.
The banking industry is actually an industry with a feminine approach because it is related to hospitality, services, and relations. With the representation of women at the leadership level, it will bring major changes in providing services that are more friendly to customers," Nixon said in a statement in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Saturday, May 10.
Nixon said that women's representation at the leadership level will create a healthy competition environment. In BTN, there are two women who now serve as directors, and women's representation at the BOD-1 level has reached almost 20 percent. As of December 2024, the number of female employees in BTN also reached 48.9 percent.
"For this reason, it is very important for Srikandi BTN's role in creating a work environment that is empowered, inclusive, and supports the development of female leaders. Because the representation of women at the leadership level is not just a matter of numbers, but through a real mentoring and coaching process from female leaders," he said.
Meanwhile, BTN is currently undergoing massive digital transformation, including digital branch development to increase efficiency and business effectiveness.
