Marc Marquez Wins French MotoGP Sprint Race, 6 Times A Consecutive Champion

JAKARTA Marc Marquez again showed his dominance in the 2025 MotoGP sprint format by winning his sixth consecutive victory at the Le Mans Circuit, France, Saturday 10 mEI. This victory further reinforces the superiority of the Gresini Ducati rider in the short race this season.

Starting from the second position behind Fabio Quartararo, Marquez had time to compete fiercely with the host racer before finally taking over the race leadership and not being overtaken until the finish line. Alex Marquez completed the podium by finishing in second place, and Fermin Aldeguer was in third place, while Quartararo, who had taken the lead, had to settle for fourth.

Quartararo had sparked the hope of the host public after taking the lead at the first corner, greeted with lively cheers from the stands. But Marquez calmly took over the position through clean maneuvers at Turn 5, and despite losing his position again, he took it again and kept the advantage until the end.

"This is a world-class maneuver from world-class racers," said Neil Hodgson in a TNT Sports broadcast as Marquez overtook Quartararo.

Meanwhile, bad news befell defending world champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo) who fell at the end of the first lap. Despite being declared fine physically, this result was a crushing blow for him who came to Le Mans in third place in the standings and desperately needed points.

Brad Binder (KTM) also became a victim in this race, falling in sectors 3 and 4. Although he is in good condition, this result adds to the list of racers who fail to finish the sprint race with satisfactory results.

With this result, Marc Marquez is getting stronger as the king of the sprint race for the 2025 season, extending his perfect record to six wins from six sprints that have been held this season.
