TB Vaccine Trial, Minister Of Health Budi Affirms Indonesia Is Not A Small Experiment
JAKARTA - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin emphasized that Indonesia is not a guinea pig in the development of the Tuberculosis (TBC) vaccine. This was conveyed by the Minister of Health to reporters, Friday, May 9.
The government, according to Minister of Health Budi, wants to do its best both for the Indonesian people and affects the world. This is because Indonesia plays an important role in global efforts to save millions of lives from infectious diseases, such as tuberculosis.
The TB vaccine, which is currently undergoing phase 3 clinical trials in Indonesia, according to Minister of Health Budi, is the result of the hard work of researchers from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia and Padjadjaran University.
The trial has involved more than 2,000 participants since the end of 2024 with the highest strict supervision and scientific booth. According to Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, if the vaccine is successful, Indonesia could become a priority country to produce its own.
