Responding To The Prabowo-Megawati Meeting Plan, This Is What The Golkar Chairman Said

JAKARTA - The plan for a meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Megawati Soekarnoputri, was responded to by the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia. He stated that it was a good thing and could be a forum for the nation's progress.

"Actually, the meeting of fellow national figures should have been carried out and this is a good thing," said Bahlil in Sidoarjo, East Java, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, May 10.

On that occasion, Bahlil said that President Prabowo's meeting with national figures and not only with Megawati, was a forum for expressing good thoughts for Indonesia's development.

According to Bahlil, President Prabowo has held several meetings with important figures such as the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, and the 6th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Try Sutrisno.

"I believe and believe that the meeting of President Prabowo figures is good in building good thoughts for the development of the nation," he said.

Previously, the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi had confirmed that the Palace was arranging a meeting schedule between the two state leaders.

"That's right" said Prasetyo briefly when confirmed regarding this matter in Jakarta, Friday (9/5).

This was done by the Palace in response to Megawati's statement which again mentioned that President Prabowo Subianto asked her to cook fried rice in her speech at the Trisakti Tourism Award in Jakarta, some time ago.

The meeting will be arranged after Megawati's speech that offended President Prabowo, who missed the fried rice made by the daughter of the First President of the Republic of Indonesia.

"It's being arranged, just calm down," said Prasetyo.
