BOY Disbands, Song Yu Vin Chooses Military Conscription

JAKARTA - The Music Works Entertainment agency announced the duo BOY disbanded on April 30.

Through their official statement, they also shared the news that one of the BOY members, Song Yu Vin, ended his exclusive contract and was serving in the military.

“It's not an easy choice for both sides, but we want to respect the artist's choice. We thank Song Yu Vin for doing his best during the six and a half years with The Music Works Entertainment since 2015".

Along with this, the agency ended BOY's activities as a group.

Song Yu Vin also wrote his own statement via Instagram. He explained that his military plans had not yet been decided.

“I plan to leave in good shape when the time comes. I would like to inform you that BOY's disbandment was decided after a discussion with Kook Heo".

Ending his letter, Song Yu Vin thanked fans who welcomed Yu Vin and looked forward to his latest work.

BOY is a duo consisting of former members of the MYTEEN and Produce X 101 groups, Song Yu Vin and Kim Kook Heon. They debuted on January 7, 2020, with the song My Angel.
