Houthi Missile Hits Israeli Airport, US THAD System Fails To Intercept
JAKARTA - The United States' THAAD missile defense system failed for the second time this week in intercepting ballistic missiles towards Israel fired by the Yemeni Houthis movement, The Times of Israel newspaper reported Friday (9/5).
The media, citing unnamed sources, stated that the result of the failure resulted in the Houthi missile hitting Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv on Sunday (4/5).
When the Houthi missile strike broke out, Israel's Hetz air defense system was reportedly malfunctioning.

As reported on Sunday or April 4, a missile fired from Yemen crashed in Israel's main airport area, resulting in the closure of key infrastructure for the Zionist State transportation sector for half an hour.
The Israeli army said it was trying to intercept the missile and was investigating the incident.
Earlier on Friday (2/5), Yemen's Houthis said they had attacked Israel's Ben Gurion Airport using hypersonic ballistic missiles for the first time since Israel's attack on international airports in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa.
