North Sumatra Police Completes 753 Cases Of Thugs Through Toba Concentration Operations
MEDAN - The North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda) stated that currently 753 cases of thuggery have been resolved through the implementation of Operation Pekat Toba 2025.
"From May 1 to 9, 2025, 753 cases were successfully uncovered with the number of perpetrators reaching 855 people," said North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General of Police Whisnu Hermawan Februanto in a written statement quoted in Medan, Saturday.
For information, Operation Pekat Toba will take place on May 1, 2025. Whisnu said of the 753 cases, 102 cases with 125 perpetrators had gone up to the investigation stage, while 651 cases with 730 perpetrators were trained.

Furthermore, he said the operation was not only a matter of prosecution, but also aimed at building social order and providing legal certainty for residents and business actors in North Sumatra.
"This operation is a tangible form of the commitment of the North Sumatra Police in taking firm action against all forms of thuggery that intimidate the public and business actors. We want to create a safe and conducive public space," he said.
Kapolda said Operation Pekat Toba 2025 also involved elements of the TNI, local governments, and other stakeholders.
"To ensure sustainable security stability and strengthen public trust in the police institution," he said.
