Due To ICCU Update, Three Hyundai EV Models Affected By Recalls In Indonesia
PT Hyundai Motor Indonesia (HMID) announced a recall program involving a number of electric vehicles in the country.
This step was taken due to a software system update from the Integrated Charge Control Unit (ICCU) component on the electric vehicle (EV) line which is said to improve the quality of battery charging to be more optimal.
PT HMID's Chief Operating Officer, Fransiscus Soerjopranoto said this was a form of his party's commitment to offering a safe and comfortable driving experience for Hyundai EV owners throughout Indonesia.
"We will continue to monitor the process intensively to ensure customer safety and comfort are maintained during the software update on the ICCU component," Frans said in an official statement, Saturday, May 10.
The recall involved a number of models registered in Hyundai Global Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), such as Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and Genesis Electrified G80.
The owner of the affected vehicle is advised to take his car to the nearest Hyundai authorized dealer network to conduct a thorough inspection.
Technicians will check until the work only lasts about 20 minutes and is done for free.
