Central Jakarta Police Order Hundreds Of Illegal Banners Belonging To Ormas
The Central Jakarta Metro Police have disciplined 109 flags belonging to the community organization (ormas) in the 2025 Brantas Jaya operation.
"The decline in the attributes of mass organizations is part of enforcing the rules to maintain public order," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Police Susatyo Purnomo Condro in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Saturday, May 10.
He said that the operation was carried out simultaneously in eight areas of the Polsek ranks to create order and avoid potential horizontal friction between groups.
The area with the largest decrease in attributes was recorded in Sawah Besar District, with 32 flags from various mass organizations.
"There should be no symbol of a group that controls the public sphere arbitrarily," he said.
