5 New Transjabodetabek Routes Will Operate In 2 Weeks
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said the inauguration of the 5 Transjabodetabek routes will only be carried out in the next two weeks. These five routes will operate following the Transjabodetabek route Alam Sutera-Blok M which was opened last April.
"The Transjabodetabek implementation, which is planned by the Jakarta government, hopefully, will open new routes this year for the 5 routes that we have submitted, next week or 2 weeks I will open new routes," said Pramono in Central Jakarta, Friday, May 9.
The 5 Transjabodetabek routes that were set for trials included Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 Pluit, PIK 2 Jembatan Baru, Kota Wisata Cawang via Jatiasih, Binong Grogol, and Jatijajar Kampung Rambutan.
Pramono also revealed that the DKI Provincial Government will free Transjabodetabek for 15 groups of people who are now free to take Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta.
"Later in the long term, if Transjabodetabek is finished, not only Jakarta residents will be released, but residents around Jakarta who will also be transported to Jakarta will also be released," Pramono explained.
On the one hand, the development of public transportation modes in Jakarta, continued Pramono, continues to process. One of them is MRT Jakarta phase 2 with the HI-Kota Roundabout route targeted for completion in 2029 and depots in Ancol by 2030.
"In addition to the MRT, we will open a southern route, we will also immediately develop the west-east route. Thus, the problem of congestion in Jakarta, slowly, is slowly being handled seriously by the Jakarta government," he added.
Previously, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that his party was conducting a trial of five Transjabodetabek routes other than Alam-Sutra Blok M.
In the trial process, the Transportation Agency will conduct a survey of services, infrastructure, and what support is needed for the operation of Transjabodetabek, until the route is finally launched.
"Transjakarta starting yesterday has served Transjabodetabek and then the target is until August there will be 5 additional routes," said Syafrin at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 28.
