Governor Koster: Bali Doesn't Need Troubled Ormas Like GRIB Jaya
The presence of GRIB Jaya in Bali has drawn a rejection reaction from the local community. Governor Wayan Koster spoke up regarding the appearance of the mass organization made by the gangster Harkules Rosario Marshal. According to him, Balinese residents will not allow the presence of thugs under the guise of mass organizations.
"The form of a mass organization, but his behavior is thugs, this cannot be tolerated," said Koster in response to the viral news of the presence of the GRIB Jaya mass organization in Bali at the inauguration of Bale Paruman Adhyaksa and Bale Restorative Justice in Badung Regency, quoted from ANTARA, Friday 9 May.
According to him, Bali, especially Badung, is the heart of tourism so that there should be no practice of thuggery.
"Badung is the heart of tourism, we cannot allow public spaces to be damaged by wild behavior under the guise of organizations," he continued.
It is known that in the past week, a mass organization of the United Indonesia People's Movement (GRIB) Jaya appeared in Bali which made Yosef Nahak the chairman. They have formed membership in Tabanan Regency.
Governor Koster emphasized that currently what should be done is to restore the strength of problem solving to cultural roots, namely traditional villages, not to take advantage of disturbing organizations.
"Anyone who abuses the name of the organization to disturb the community will deal directly with customs and the state, don't take Bali's cultural power lightly," he said.
Koster reminded that there is a role in the integrated security system for traditional villages (adat guides) containing security and pecalang officers in Bali.
If the institutions in it such as pecalang are already strong, according to him, Bali does not need community organizations that carry a hidden agenda under the guise of wanting to protect Bali.
The Bali Provincial Government sees the Bali Prosecutor's Office program, namely presenting Bale Paruman Adhyaksa and Bale Restorative Justice, a good example that should develop.

Bale Parumman Adhyaksa based on customary law is predicted to be a new bulwark capable of suppressing social crimes without having to take court channels.
"This is not just a matter of law, this is a gamble on Bali's future," said Koster.
