IDX Reveals There Are 2 Big Companies Ready For IPO
JAKARTA - PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX) revealed that there will be two large or ordinary companies called lighthouse companies, which plan to conduct an Initial Public Offering (IPO).
However, until now there is no certainty about the implementation of the IPO by the two companies.
IDX Assessment Director, I Gede Nyoman Yetna said that the companies that will conduct the IPO are in the energy and consumer sectors.
"There are two sectors, the other sector is energy, the other is consumer," he told the media crew after the launch of the iKISI at the IDX Building, Thursday, May 8.
Nyoman added that currently there are 30 companies that are already in the pipeline to conduct an IPO.
However, for state-owned companies, he said that no one had entered the pipeline.
Regarding the decline in the target number of companies that will have an IPO in 2025, Nyoman emphasized that the target did not go down and emphasized that when compared to stock exchanges in the ASEAN region and also outside ASEAN, Indonesia's capital market growth was still quite high.
"(IPO goes down), now this is not, so I say yes, I will confirm this for a moment, so friends, if we compare, we will compare ASEAN and non-ASEAN. That was the first, where is the stock exchange ASEAN, mana stock exchange non-ASEAN Growth, we see that currently we are currently the highest comparison in ASEAN, and in non-ASEAN we are the same as the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)," he said.
