Protect Sensitive Chats, Here's How To Enable Chat Locks On Android And IOS WhatsApp
JAKARTA WhatsApp always prioritizes privacy and chat security on its platform to protect users. To strengthen chat security, WhatsApp provides a feature like a Chat Key.
This feature is available on the WhatsApp mobile app, both on Android and iOS. When users activate this feature, they can ensure the security of their chats from other people. This will avoid accidental data leakage.
For example, when you still leave your phone accidentally with the WhatsApp application that is currently open, you don't have to worry about leaked sensitive chats. Locked chats won't be able to be opened by anyone other than you.
The reason is, this feature utilizes biometric authentication or user identity. If users want to review the chat they locked, they only need to unlock the feature using fingerprints.
This feature is very easy to activate, but rarely used by users. If you are interested, here's how to activate the features on Android and iOS devices.

Whatever device you use, how to activate the feature remains the same. Before activating the feature, make sure that you are already using the latest WhatsApp version, then take the following steps.
After performing the above stages, biometric authentication will appear to confirm your actions. Once your fingerprint is verified, the chat will disappear in the main chat room.
If you want to see where the chat is, you just need to return to the main chat tab, then pull the screen down until you see the Chat Lock icon at the top. Tap the menu, then enter the registered biometric authentication.
