Bobby Kertanegara, Prabowo Subianto Cat Gets Whale Doll From Bill Gates

JAKARTA - During his visit to the Merdeka Palace on Wednesday, world technology and philanthropic figure Bill Gates brought a sweet surprise not to the President, but to his favorite pet.

Bobby Kertanegara, a cat belonging to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, received a special gift in the form of a black and white whale doll from the founder of Microsoft.

This warm moment occurred after an official meeting between Bill Gates and President Prabowo. The meeting discussed opportunities for strategic cooperation and the role of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in supporting development in Indonesia, especially in the fields of health and education.

The formal atmosphere immediately melted as Bobby, who was brought in a streller, slowly approached the special guest. Bill Gates greeted him with warmth and handed the doll directly to the cat. This action immediately caught the attention of the guests and officials who were present, giving rise to a smile and a small laugh in the middle of the state meeting.

After a relaxed session with Bobby, the event continued to the main agenda. President Prabowo has officially handed over keris as a souvenir to Bill Gates, a symbol of deep respect for Indonesian culture.

In his speech, President Prabowo expressed his intention to give the highest appreciation from the state to Bill Gates for his extraordinary contribution. He conveyed plans to hold an honorary council meeting to discuss the awarding of service stars to Gates, for his dedication in helping the people of Indonesia and the world.

"I have conveyed earlier, because of his assistance and support for Indonesia, and also for mankind at large, I want to give this nation's highest appreciation to him," said Prabowo.

After the meeting in Jakarta, Bill Gates is scheduled to continue his journey to several other cities. Previously, he had stopped in Singapore to review the ongoing development projects that were currently underway there.

Bill Gates, or William Henry Gates III, is widely known as the founder of Microsoft and one of the main figures in the personal computer revolution since the late 1970s. After resigning from Microsoft's leadership in 2014, Gates focused more on philanthropic activity, global innovation, and sustainability issues that have had a broad impact on the world community.
