Apple Officially Sells IPhone SE 2020, The Price Is Rp. 6 Million

JAKARTA - Surprisingly, Apple launched a variant of its cheap mobile phone, the 2020 edition of the iPhone SE. Although it was delayed due to COVID-19, the iPhone SE can already be purchased for around 399 dollars or Rp. 6 million.

Quoted from the Apple Newsroom website, this latest Apple device has a similar appearance to its predecessor iPhone 8 series. The second generation iPhone SE has a 4.7-inch Retina HD True Tone screen and a home button that includes a Touch ID feature at the bottom.

As an entry-level Apple phone, the iPhone SE 2020 specifications are arguably more sophisticated than the iPhone 8. This latest Apple cellphone is powered by the same SoC A13 Bionic as the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro.

For photography purposes, Apple includes a single 12 MP resolution camera on the back. Although only one, this rear camera configuration has the ability to record 4K video at 60fps.

The front camera of Apple's new smart phone is equipped with a Face Time feature with a 7 megapixel resolution. The ability to take selfies and bokeh is also included.

Other features that the iPhone SE has include support for 18 watts of fast charging via a Lightning cable which is claimed to be able to charge the battery up to 50 percent in 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the company from Cupertino, United States (US) did not specify the capacity of their new smartphone battery.

In terms of connectivity, the iPhone SE (2020) is equipped with WiFi 6, Gigabit LTE, and dual SIM features (although both SIMs are only eSIM). This phone also has an IP67 certificate which makes it water and dust resistant.

In its home country of America, Apple is selling the new iPhone SE 2020 with prices starting at US $ 399 (Rp.6.27 million) for the 64GB variant. Apple also offers 128GB options for US $ 499 (Rp.7.85 million) and 256GB which sells for around US $ 549 (Rp.8.62 million).

Apple will start pre-ordering the iPhone SE 2020 on April 17, while the distribution of this phone will take place on April 24. iPhone SE 2020 is available in three color choices, namely black, white and (PRODUCT) RED.
