KPK Leader, Please Tessa Mahardhika Gaspol After Being Appointed As Acting Director Of Investigation

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Johanis Tanak stated that there is a target that must be met for acting (plt) in a number of structural ranks. This is no exception for Tessa Mahardhika, who currently serves as Acting Director of KPK Investigation.

"Of course the leadership hopes that the implementation of tasks at the KPK Investigation Directorate can be carried out properly and smoothly, without any obstacles. So that the achievement of tasks that have been set in the work program at the KPK Investigation Directorate can be achieved," Johanis said when contacted by reporters, Wednesday, May 7.

Even so, Johanis said, as the executor of the task of authority that is owned will not be as large as definitive. Thus, the Secretary General of the KPK will determine further steps to fill the position permanently, including as Director of Investigation.

"For the filling of the definitive position, it is regulated by the Secretary General of the KPK," he explained.

Furthermore, the appointment of a figure as the executor is not without reason. Tessa, for example, is considered to have the ability to sit in that position replacing Endar Priantoro, who now serves as the East Kalimantan Police Chief.

"Because he is a KPK ASN with a National Police educational background even though he is now no longer a member of the National Police. So the leadership considers that he has an understanding and ability to handle investigation problems," he said confirmed separately.

As previously reported, the KPK appointed a number of names to occupy positions in structural positions. Tessa Mahardhika, who was previously a spokesman for the Acting Director of Investigation.

Meanwhile, the position of spokesperson was replaced by Budi Prasetyo. Then, Asep Guntur Rahayu was appointed as Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution replacing Rudi Setiawan who was appointed West Java Police Chief.

"This step is a form of the KPK's commitment to ensuring the sustainability of corruption eradication work in each line without interruption due to the vacancy of office," said KPK Secretary General Cahya H. Harefa in a written statement, Wednesday, May 7.
