Ahmad Dhani Concerning Allegations Of Hina Marga Pono In MKD: By Allah 100 Percent Slip Of Tongue

JAKARTA - Member of Commission X DPR RI, Ahmad Dhani attended an examination related to alleged insults to the Pono clan at the Honorary Court of the House of Representatives (MKD).

Ahmad Dhani admitted that he had no intention of insulting the Pono clan as reported by musician Rayen Pono. He said there was a slip of the tongue or 'single tongue' when mentioning the name.

"The issue of slip of the tongue, sir, Your Honor, is purely 100 percent slip of the tongue," said Ahmad Dhani in the MKD meeting room at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, May 7.

Ahmad Dhani said Rayen Pono also reported it to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police regarding the alleged insult to the Pono clan.

"The person concerned has reported me to the police and I will undergo the legal process if there is a Mulia. And for God's sake 100 percent is pure slip of the tongue," he explained.

For his statement, Ahmad Dhani was declared to have violated the DPR RI code of ethics by the MKD. MKD gave light sanctions to the frontman of the Dewa 19 band.

"Based on legal and ethical considerations, the MKD has decided that the honorable defendant, Ahmad Dhani with the member number A 119 from the Gerindra party faction has been proven to have violated the code of ethics of the DPR RI and given light sanctions," said Chairman of the MKD DPR RI Nazaruddin Dek Gam at the Nusantara I Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, May 7.

Nazaruddin said the MKD was an institution authorized to examine and decide this report. MKD stated that the defendant violated the code of ethics of members of the DPR RI and punished the defendant with a verbal warning.

"Accompanied by the defendant's obligation to apologize to the complainant no later than 7 days after this decision," said Nazaruddin Dek Gam.
