JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo said that the Ministry of Public Works' budget for 2025 increased to IDR 73.76 trillion.
Even so, the latest additional budget has not been reported to Commission V of the DPR RI.
Previously, the Ministry of Public Works budget ceiling for 2025 was affected by efficiency from IDR 110.95 trillion to IDR 29.57 trillion.
The efficiency then experienced reconstruction, bringing the Ministry of Public Works budget to IDR 50.48 trillion as of February 13, 2025.
Dody also revealed that there was an additional budget from the figures that had been ratified by the DPR.
The Ministry of Public Works's budget is IDR 73.76 trillion as of March 2025, through a blocking opening scheme by the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).
"We previously apologize ladies and gentlemen (Commission V) because then when there was the opening of the next block, we did not write to announce the approval," said Dody in a working meeting with Commission V DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, May 7.
The Ministry of Public Works obtained the additional budget to Rp73.76 trillion through a proposal to the Ministry of Finance on March 13 to relax the opening and blocking of the Ministry of Public Works budget in 2025.
As a result, the Ministry of Finance opened a block, bringing the Ministry of Public Works budget to IDR 73.76 trillion on March 25, 2025.
In Dody's presentation, the budget added through the opening block will be used for the Madrasah Best Results Program (PHTC), second semester road preservation and critical bridge rehabilitation, support for Papua's New Autonomous Region (DOB) infrastructure, fulfillment of several Multi Years Contract (MYC) and support for infrastructure completion at IKN.

In the future, Dody assessed that the Ministry of Public Works budget also still has the potential to return to the initial ceiling, which is IDR 110.95 trillion.
This is the result of discussions with the Ministry of Finance.
"The Ministry of Public Works has not changed or remains Rp 110.95 trillion, but most of them are still in the most massive (blocked) position. Then in certain cases, according to the direction of the President and in accordance with the request from the Minister of Public Works which has been approved by the President, several blocks will be opened," said Dody.
"And it was then seen at the opening of the first phase of the block, which was February 13, 2025," he concluded.
