Canelo Alvarez Will Fight Terence Crawford In September 2025
JAKARTA The famous Mexican boxer, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, is certain to enter the ring against Terence Crawford on September 12, 2025 in Las Vegas, United States.
The clash between the two names was announced directly by the Head of the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority, Turkey al-Sheikh, after Canelo defeated William Scull last weekend.
"Now we want to hold the biggest fight of the century between the two great fighters of our generation," Turkish al-Sheikh was quoted as saying by The Guardian.
The latest win over Scull saw Canelo Alvarez reclaim the undisputed super middleweight world title. This is the second time he has won the division.
The 34-year-old boxer managed to increase his record to 63-2-2 (39 KOs). In addition, this result at the same time made him unbeaten in 10 fights in the super middle class category.

Alvarez is a four-class world champion and entered the battle against Scull with WBA, WBC, and WBO titles in hand. He finally won 115-113, 116-112, 119-109 in the duel.
Alvarez's previous IBF belt was stripped in July 2024 when he refused to play a mandatory defense against Scull. He has held the title since November 2021 when he defeated Caleb Plant.
The fight against Scull itself did not go as expected. Scull, who was born in Cuba and unbeaten in 23 professional fights, kept trying to escape throughout their duel.
"It was a boring fight. A fighter who didn't try to win and just tried to survive. I hate fighters like that," Alvarez said.
Crawford then went up in the ring after a fight for a face-off with Alvarez to promote their fight, which Allegiant Stadium plans to take place.
Crawford, 37-year-old with a 41-0 win-loss record, has won titles in four divisions from lightweight to lightweight class. Later, he will rise from the lightweight middleweight against Alvarez.
