Britain Prepares To Face Russian Military Attacks, Renew Domestic Defense Systems
JAKARTA - British Prime Minister (PMI) Keir Starmer has ordered his staff to review the British defense in response to growing concerns about potential military attacks directly from Russia.
Citing Metro.co.uk, Tuesday 6 May, officials at the UK Cabinet Office are known to be renewing a 'national defense plan' that describes how the government will respond to attacks from other countries.
The move comes in response to a series of threats to Britain out of support for Ukraine.
The updated blue print will include the UK's important infrastructure scenario being targeted by missile, cyber, and even nuclear warhead attacks.
According to The Telegraph, the plan will also contain mitigation in protecting ministers and royal families and maintaining key public services during wartime.
The UK Cabinet Office has also analyzed the potential threats facing Britain and its potential impacts.

Previously, an analysis of the UK's defense risk was published in January 2025.
The results of the analysis stated that if a military strike succeeded in crippling Britain, it most likely resulted in the death of civilians, emergency services, serious economic damage and disruption to essential services.
Last month, British military officials had carried out a scenario simulating Russia's first night bombing Ukraine and its impact on British air defenses.
The war simulations tested British responses to "100s of different types of ammunition" that attacked from several directions.
The war scenario also reveals Britain is vulnerable to shortages of airfields and safe places for military bases and fighter jets.
Former head of RAF Air and Space War Center, Air Commodore Blythe Crawford said the results of last month's simulations were "not a good picture".
British military officials then pushed his country to develop a national version of Israel's Iron Dome system to ward off missile attacks.
