Pertamina International Shipping Subsidiary Collaborates With Malaysia To Develop Green Energy Terminal

PT Pertamina Energy Terminal (PET) established a strategic synergy with Tanjung Langsat Port Terminal (TLPT), one of the port managers and energy terminals from Malaysia, to develop a green energy fuel terminal and a bunker center terminal.

PET Bayu Prostiyono's President Director said, through this strategic collaboration, PET and TLPT are committed to developing green energy terminals and bunker centers that can strengthen supply chains in the Southeast Asian region.

"We are honored for the trust given. The signing of the MoU is an important milestone for PET in expanding international business networks and strengthening our position as the main players in global logistics and energy networks," said Bayu, Tuesday, May 6.

This initiative, he continued, also opens the potential for increased revenue for both the captive market and non-captive market of Pertamina Group, as well as opening up opportunities for developing supporting facilities such as water treatment plants and construction of bunker facilities that support the activities of special economic zones at TLPT.

This collaboration targets an annual trading volume of 3 million tons through the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) area. This step is expected to increase the efficiency of cross-border trade.

Through this partnership, the subsidiary of PT Pertamina International Shipping is increasingly optimistic in realizing the vision of "PET Go Global" and contributing actively in building a sustainable energy and logistics ecosystem at the regional and international levels.
