Indonesian Navy Soldiers Charged With Killing Juwita Journalists Because They Are Not Ready To Marry Victims
BANJARBARU - Military Odditurat (Odmil) III-15 Banjarmasin revealed that the soldiers of the Indonesian Navy Classi Satu Jumran, a defendant in the murder of a journalist from Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, Juwita (23), had two romantic relationships with victims and women in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi.
Head of Military Oditurat III-15 Banjarmasin Lt. Col. CHK Sunandi revealed the evidence when reading the indictment in the inaugural trial at the Military Court (Dilmil) I-06 Banjarmasin, Banjarbaru City, Monday.
"Before the defendant had sex with the victim, the victim refused because he knew the defendant had a lover in Sulawesi," said the contents of the conversation between the defendant and the victim somewhere in Banjarbaru, in the November-December 2024 period," Sunandi said in the indictment quoted by ANTARA.
The indictment explains that the first meeting took place at a cafe in Banjarbaru, intense communication, then met at a hotel after going through the social media acquaintance process (the defendant used the pseudonym Andi), and exchanged Whatsapp numbers, unfortunately communication and the defendant did not hesitate to discuss sexual.
In mid-November 2024, the defendant invited the victim to meet again in Banjarbaru to discuss the relationship, which the defendant said was a special relationship, even though the defendant actually had a boyfriend in Sulawesi but was not reluctant to have a relationship with the victim.
A few days later, the defendant again contacted the victim for a walk, then met but asked him to be alone (by signal of having sex).
Then the victim immediately asked if she was pregnant whether the defendant wanted to be responsible, and swiftly the defendant answered that he was ready to take responsibility if it was her child. The victim again asked whether the defendant would run away if something happened, then the defendant again convinced the victim not to hesitate.
Then they planned to meet at a hotel in Banjarbaru, the victim preceded entering the hotel room. The defendant went home first to the MMA mes. Then the victim came to the victim using a motorbike.

The more pressed, the defendant re-planned the murder, then called the victim and said why he recorded it while in the hotel room, as if he felt trapped. The defendant's intention was to kill and finally download it on Google how to eliminate evidence and traces when killing.

Until finally the victim and the defendant met on the day of the incident on Saturday (22/3), the defendant arrived in Banjarbaru and picked up the victim using a rental car. On that day, the defendant killed the victim on Jalan Trans Gunung Kupang, Cempaka Village, Cempaka District, Banjarbaru City, and the body was found by residents at around 15.00 WITA.
In the inaugural trial, the panel of judges at the Military Court (Dilmil) I-06 Banjarmasin examined six witnesses out of a total of 11 witnesses, five other witnesses along with other evidence will be examined on Thursday (8/5).
It is known, the victim named Juwita (23) works as a media journalist on a local network (online) in Banjarbaru and has pocketed a journalist competency test (UKW) with the qualifications of young journalists.
