ASDP Ensures Normal Bakauheni Port Service After Flood Soak
PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), ensured that service activities for ship passengers at Bakauheni Port Lampung remained normal after being hit by floods on Sunday, May 4 yesterday.
PT ASDP Indonesia Corporate Secretary Ferry Shelvy Arifin said, due to heavy rains that hit the area last Sunday, a number of locations in the Bakauheni Port area were affected by standing water as high as 10 centimeters (cm).
The ASDP operational team responsively handled the situation and ensured that there were no disturbances to service activities. The puddle began to recede in less than 30 minutes after the rain subsided. Currently, all crossing services to and from Bakauheni Port have been running normally, safely, and smoothly," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 5.
He explained, as a form of commitment to the safety, security and comfort of service users, ASDP continues to strengthen the readiness of emergency handling systems at ports, including risk mitigation of extreme weather.
According to him, ASDP continues to remind all service users to continue to monitor weather information and comply with the officers' directions while in the port area.
"ASDP is committed to providing the best service and ensuring people's mobility continues to run smoothly, safely, and orderly," he said.
Therefore, he appealed to all service users to always prepare for the best journey from a long time ago.

Shelvy explained that the purchase of ferry tickets can now only be done online through Ferizy applications and websites, with a maximum ordering period of H-60 before the date of departure.
