MBS's Positive Reaction To Prabowo's Plan To Build Indonesian Villages In Saudi Arabia

JAKARTA - The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, revealed his plan to build an Indonesian village in the Holy Land for pilgrims and Umrah in Saudi Arabia.

This was conveyed directly during the opening remarks of the 2F Terminal specifically for Hajj and Umrah at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Sunday, May 4.

The plan was also conveyed in his meeting with Saudi Arabian Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS).

He also said that he had asked for time to meet with the leaders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The goal is to discuss this.

"And there I will discuss our efforts, the request of Indonesia that I have conveyed to the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman," Prabowo said in his remarks, Sunday, May 4.

Prabowo also said that the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, MBS, welcomed his plan to build an Indonesian village.

He revealed that the Minister of Religion, Nasaruddin Umar, had headed to Arabia Suadi to discuss further the development plan.

Furthermore, Prabowo said that if the construction was approved later, the cost of Hajj and Umrah could be cut.

"God willing, we will have our own village and we will make it efficient, I also ask for Garuda flights to be efficient, all efforts are made to eliminate unnecessary things," he said.
