Head Of BGN Reveals Budget, Human Resources, And Infrastructure Are The Key To Successful MBG Program

JAKARTA - Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana revealed three keys to the successful implementation of the free nutritious eating program (MBG), namely budget, human resources (HR), and infrastructure.

According to him, from the three keys to success, the budget problem has been resolved.

"The budget has been submitted by the President that it has been resolved politically," he said in his official statement, Sunday, May 4.

Meanwhile, for the HR sector, Dadan said that this sector is a real challenge, especially regarding the existence and readiness of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) and currently there are thousands of workers who have been educated to be ready to work at the SPPG.

The Head of SPPG is a Bachelor of Indonesian Development. And until now we have, just finished educating 2,000 and some have resigned 6 so that there are only 1,994 human resources. Now, to develop services faster, we are very dependent on human resources," he explained.

Dadan said that to meet these shortcomings, his party had collaborated with the Defense University (IDU) to educate the 30,000 candidates for the Head of SPPG in the third wave.

"God willing, it will be completed at the end of July. So that's why the acceleration will start in August," he added.

Meanwhile, in terms of infrastructure, he said that the number of SPPG facilities still needs to be increased to meet the set targets.

Therefore, Dadan believes that synergy and partnership with various parties are very necessary aspects.

"This means that we must partner as widely as possible with various parties," he said.

However, Dadan conveyed other challenges in terms of monitoring the quality and completeness of infrastructure provided by partners and, his party is currently preparing and sharpening the standard operating procedures (SOP) for elections, as well as partner supervision.

"Therefore, we are gathered now to sharpen the SOP-SOP related to partner selection and also infrastructure supervision that must exist and will be prepared by partners," he said.

Dadan conveyed that by strengthening these three main aspects, the government hopes that the national nutrition fulfillment program can take place more massively and be structured.

"This program is also expected to be right on target in order to realize a healthy and quality generation of Indonesia," he said.
