Indian Border Forces Arrest Pakistani Police Amid War Alert

JAKARTA - A Pakistani police officer was arrested by the Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) in Rajasthan, India-Pakistan border area.

The arrest of the Pakistani police was amid the relationship between the two countries which was boiling.

Citing the Press Trust of India, Sunday, May 4, the police are now being detained by BSF in Rajasthan.

This incident did not take long from the arrest of a BSF soldier, Purnam Kumar Shaw, 40, by Pakistani authorities on April 23.

Purnam, who traveled from Myanmar, was said to have accidentally crossed the Indian-Pakistan border, so he was arrested.

Pakistan refused to release Purnam despite India protesting loudly and submitting repeated requests for his release.

India-Pakistan relations boil after an armed militant group killed 26 people in India's Jammu region and an Indian-controlled task force on April 22.

India blames Pakistan for the incident which then responded by implementing a number of detrimental policies, as well as Pakistan doing the same.
