Samsung Still Uses Exynos Chipset On Galaxy Z Flip 7
JAKARTA Some time ago, reports emerged that Samsung would use the Snapdragon Galaxy Z Flip 7 chipset. However, rumors have recently stated otherwise.
According to a Korean media report by Chosun Daily, Samsung will return to its original plan, namely to use the chipset made by the company for the foldable phone. Samsung is believed to be using the Exynos 2500 chipset.
This chipset replacement plan arises due to problems with the Exynos chip. Therefore, Samsung plans to include a chipset from Qualcomm into its foldable phone. It is not yet known what version of Snapdragon will be used.
Fortunately, the Exynos 2500 has increased, although very few and is still below standard. This prompted Samsung to continue to innovate on its chips and wear them on the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Another factor driving the use of Exynos is cost issues. Reportedly, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will experience a cost increase of more than 20 percent if it switches to Snapdragon. Of course, this transition will be considered a little risky.

The increase in the price of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 could affect the sales of folding phones this year. Samsung's folding phone sales did not develop much, even far from good. In order to save its products, Samsung will retain Exynos.
However, it is not yet known what Samsung will do to improve the performance of the Exynos 2500. Samsung requires a 60 percent standard before its devices are mass produced, but this chipset standard is still between 20 and 40 percent.
Although the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is maintained with the Exynos 2500 chipset, Samsung will use the Snapdragon chipset in its open folding version, namely the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Samsung's foldable device is expected to be released in July.
