Strengthening Digital Space, Kemkomdigi Blocks 1.3 Million Judol Content
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs in collaboration with the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) seeks to strengthen supervision and law enforcement in the digital space by blocking 1.3 million online gambling content (judol).
"Welcome and thank you for the presence of you and your staff in this important event. The submission of the Audit Result Report (LHP) of BPK RI's performance is a historic momentum for us, because this is the first time this has been done at the Ministry of Communication and Digitology," said Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid quoting Antara.
When opening the event for the submission of the BPK RI LHP at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs office in Jakarta, Friday (2/5), Meutya explained that during October 20, 2024 to April 23, 2025, the Ministry of Communication and Trade has handled more than 1.3 million judol content, consisting of 1,192,000 gambling sites and 127,000 content on social media.
These numbers reflect a real threat in the digital space that disrupts national security and order, he said.
The Ministry of Communication and Industry has launched various strategic steps, including the Content Moderation Compliance System (SAMAN), a policy requiring digital platforms to follow up on high-risk content within 4 hours and other negative content within 24 hours.
In addition, Government Regulations on Governance of the Implementation of Electronic Systems in Child Protection in the Digital Room (PP Tunas) have also been issued to strengthen child protection on the internet.
"Kemkomdigi emphasized that the construction of a healthy and safe digital space is not only the responsibility of the government, but is the result of the collaboration of all elements of the nation," said Meutya.
Member III of BPK RI Akhsanul Khaq appreciated the Kemkomdigi's progressive steps.
