Try Sutrisno's Son Lt. Gen. Kunto Canceled Transfer
Head of the Information Center (Kapuspen) TNI Brigadier General Kristomei Sianturi confirmed that Lt. Gen. Kunto Arief Wibowo and six other high-ranking officers were canceled as stipulated in the Decree (SK) of the TNI Commander Number Kep/554.a/IV/2025.
This means that Lt. Gen. Kunto and six other high-ranking officers who were originally affected by mutations/rotations as stipulated in the Decree of the TNI Commander Number Kep/554/IV/2025 returned to their original position.
"There are some that have not been able to shift at this time, so it was decided now to correct or suspend the series, and issued Kep/554.a/IV/2025 dated April 30 with another series," Kapuspen said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 2.
Kristomei explained that the policy of mutation, rotation, and promotion of the TNI Commander was guided by one of the results of the assembly of the Highest Position and Rankage Council (Wanjakti). The assembly generally convenes for the needs of mutations and rotation for the next 3 months.
"So, there are series that have been prepared, some have to retire, and some have shifted, because there are tasks that must be completed by them, faced with the development of the current situation," Kristomei said.

Kapuspen also emphasized that the latest policy of the TNI Commander was not related to other issues currently developing, including related to the attitude of the 6th Vice President RITry Sutrisno, the father of Lt. Gen. Kunto.
"It has nothing to do with anything else," Kristomei emphasized that the policy of mutation and rotation was for internal reasons of the TNI, not external TNI.
In the latest decree, the TNI Commander again assigned Lt. Gen. Kunto as Pangkogabwilhan I, then Admiral TNI Hersan as Pangkoarmada III, Admiral TNI H. Krisno Utomo as Pangkolinlamil, Admiral TNI Rudhi Aviantara as Chief of Staff of Kogabwilhan II, Admiral TNI Phundi Rusbandi as Deputy Assistant of KSAL, Admiral TNI Benny Febri as Kadiskomlekal, and Admiral TNI Maulana as Special Staff of KSAL.
