Vice President Gibran: AI Curriculum Is Implemented In The New Academic Year
JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka said the artificial intelligence curriculum (AI) will begin to be applied to the new school year at various levels of education.
"A few days ago we averaged (limited meeting) there was also the Minister of Education, later in the new school year we will start including the AI curriculum, AI lessons at SD, SMP, SMA, SMK as well," said Gibran while attending the "Creative Job Opportunity with AI" event at Bina Nusantara University, Jakarta, Friday, May 2, reported by ANTARA.
Gibran said AI is not only used to make funny graphics, but also plays a role in facilitating daily work.
The Vice President emphasized that AI technology will not replace humans, but that people who do not use AI will be less competitive with those who use it.
Gibran also gave an example of the innovation of a number of school students, such as a school in BSD whose students had just won a robotic competition by creating a coral reef cleaning robot.
"So Indonesia has never run out of smart people. Everything is creative and you must be able to embrace the latest technologies, one of which is AI, crypto, blockchain, make the best of it," he said.
On that occasion, Gibran also appreciated Binus students who succeeded in creating innovations such as drowsiness detectors and games by utilizing AI technology.
"So once again I am very happy that Binus is capturing that opportunity. So apart from being able to answer the challenges of the times, all of the children here will be ready to work as well, that's the most important thing," said the Vice President.
