Aston Villa Vs Fulham Prediction: The Cottagers Test The Villans' Home Record
JAKARTA - Aston Villa will host Fulham at Villa Park on Saturday 3 May in the Premier League. The Villans have a goal of reducing the distance to the top five and securing Champions League tickets. Meanwhile, Fulham also still has hopes of appearing in European competitions next season.
Villa are determined to repeat their win over Fulham as in the first meeting of the season when they won 3-1 at Craven Cottage in October 2024, as well as recorded a double win over The Cottagers for the second season in a row.
Aston Villa has just suffered two consecutive defeats for the first time since November 2024. They lost 2-1 to Manchester City for a 94th minute goal, then were beaten 3-0 by Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semifinals at Wembley.
After being eliminated from the Champions League in the quarter-finals, now Unai Emery's main focus and his team are four games remaining in the Premier League. Villa are currently in seventh place, three points behind Nottingham Forest (sixth place) and Chelsea (fiveth place), with their next opponents: Fulham, Bournemouth, Tottenham, and Manchester United.
Villa have a good record at home, unbeaten in 16 Premier League games at Villa Park (9 wins, 7 draws). They also won in six of the last seven meetings against Fulham.

On the other hand, Fulham came from behind to win 2-1 over Southampton last week, thanks to goals from Emile Smith Rowe and Ryan Sessegnon. The win kept their hopes of qualifying for the European competition, and they could cut the gap to Villa to three points if they win this game.
However, history does not side with Fulham at Villa Park. They have only won once from their last 20 visits (D7, L12), and have always lost in the last five visits since 2014.
Marcus Rashford was absent due to a hamstring injury and is expected to be out until the end of the season. Axel Disasi is back on track after previously not being able to appear in the FA Cup.wary Watkins remains the mainstay upfront, while John McGinn is ready to make his 200th Premier League appearance.
At Fulham, Rodrigo Muniz and Reiss Nelson are still injured. Antonee Robinson is back fit and can start as a left-back. Ryan Sessegnon may be played more offensively on the wing, competing with Willian, Harry Wilson, and Adama Traore.
