PLN Managed To Maintain The Electricity Supply Of The Rimpu Mantika Festival In Bima City
MATARAM - PT PLN West Nusa Tenggara Regional Main Unit stated that it has succeeded in maintaining the reliability of electricity supply without interruption during the Rimpu Mantika Festival which is the peak of the 23rd Anniversary (HUT) celebration of Bima City.
General Manager of PLN West Nusa Tenggara Regional Main Unit (UIW NTB) Sudjarwo through a written statement received in Mataram, Thursday, said that the electricity supply remained reliable during the Rimpu Festival was the result of thorough preparation, intensive coordination, and high dedication from all PLN teams in the field.
"Electricity is not only a matter of power that lights up, but also about taking sides with people's lives. This festival is not only a cultural agenda, but also a local economic movement space that we must support concretely," he said.
He said, in this activity PLN deployed as many as 20 standby personnel through the Bima Customer Service Implementation Unit (UP3).

Technical support is also comprehensively prepared, including the provision of 1 Mobile Substation Unit (UGB) and 1 Unit Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with a capacity of 250 kVA, as well as a backup supply scheme from two main auctioners, namely the Malay Auction and Karara Auctioners.
This anticipatory step allows electricity supply to be maintained despite disruptions to one of the networks.
In addition, monitoring the system is carried out regularly with real-time communication between the PLN team and the organizing committee. As a result, during the series of events, there were no recorded disturbances to electricity supply.
Sudjarwo emphasized that this success reflects the synergy spirit between PLN, local governments, and the community.
"This festival is a symbol of local cultural power. PLN will continue to be present in every public space that brings progress," he said.
With a commitment to continue to maintain the reliability of the electricity system, PLN ensures that not only electricity remains on, but also the spirit of togetherness and progress of the people in Bima, and the entire West Nusa Tenggara region.
Mayor of Bima H A. Rahman, appreciated all parties who supported the success of this activity, including PLN, which has maintained reliable electricity supply during activities from 24 to 26 April 2025.
"Through this momentum, the Bima City Government is committed to making the Rimpu Mantika-The Jewel of Bima Festival not just a cultural exhibition, but also a local economic driving force, especially for MSME players, weaving craftsmen, art actors, and tourism actors," said Rahman.
The mayor believes that culture does not only belong to the past, but also the key to looking to the future and the success of this activity is the result of the cooperation of all parties.

The Rimpu Mantika Festival displays the richness of Bima's culture, including the Rimpu parade, traditional art performances, to the UMKM bazaar and weaving crafts. Thousands of people and tourists fill the central city area to participate in a series of activities that last until the evening.
The Committee for the Tini festival also expressed appreciation to PLN for its active and quick response role during the festival.
"Without stable electricity support, it is very difficult for us to ensure the comfort and smooth running of all event agendas. PLN is really present as a strategic partner," he said.
UP3 Manager Bima Syaiful Hannan added that electricity security is carried out not only technically, but also with a service approach.
"We have prepared a quick response team on standby at the location. Those who are not only monitoring, but can also immediately act if there is a potential for interference," said Syaiful.
