Keep The Opportunities To The Proliga Grand Final, Electric PLN Tekuk Popsivo 3-1

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Electric PLN women's volleyball team maintains their chances to the PLN Mobile Proliga 2025 grand final after beating Jakarta Popsivo Polwan 3-1 (25-23, 25-21, 22-25, 25-20) in the final match of four at Sritex Sports Center, Solo, Central Java, Thursday.

Electric PLN who relied on two foreign players Kelsey Robinson Cook and Polina Shemanova immediately attacked Popsivo from the first set.

Despite the intense competition for points from both teams, Electric PLN was able to score two crucial points to secure victory in the first set with a score of 25-23.

Reporting from ANTARA, Popsivo Polwan tried to retaliate with attacks by foreign players Jessica Mruzik and Madison Kingdon. However, Electric PLN was able to stem it by scoring points in a row until the score was 25-21 to win the second set.

Popsivo's resistance only paid off in the third set. After a tight competition for points from the start of the set to a 19-19 draw, Popsivo was able to maximize every opportunity to point to score points 23-21.

Electric PLN tried to catch up, however, a spike that was too hard on Robinson made the ball fall off the pitch while giving Popsivo a win with a score of 25-22.

After opening up opportunities to catch up, Popsivo immediately stole points first in the fourth set. The competition got tighter when both teams scored points until Electric PLN reversed the lead to 8-7.

After technical time out pertacma, Electric PLN has not been able to widen the distance of points because Popsivo continued to fight back by repeatedly creating a 19-19 draw.

Effective block action from Shemanova and Madison's hard spike created successive points for Electric PLN who managed to widen the gap by 22-19.

Ersandrina Devega Salsabila's turn to steal the show by scoring consecutive points through ace service until the last point to take Electric PLN to secure the fourth set with a score of 25-20, as well as ending the match with an important victory.

With this victory, Electric PLN added points to the standings to 6 points to shift Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Indonesia in third place by collecting 5 points.

Meanwhile, Popsivo Polwan, who previously led the standings with 8 points, had to go down to second place, replaced by Jakarta Pertamina Enduro, who also collected 8 points.

Electric PLN is still playing one more match in the final four against Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Indonesia.
