Update On COVID-19 As Of April 29: New Cases Of 5,833, Deaths, Increased By 218
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 75,820 specimens were examined with the results of 5,833 new positive cases of COVID-19.

The province with the newest cases is in West Java with 1,119 cases and a total of 280,026 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 987 new cases with a total of 407,831 cases. Central Java has 592 new cases and a total of 183,843 cases. Then, Riau has 579 new cases and a total of 43,756 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 1,415 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an increase of 1,145 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an increase of 480 recovered cases, and DI Yogyakarta with an increase of 313 recovered cases.
Three provinces reported no new cases today. The provinces that reported zero new cases were West Sulawesi, Maluku, and North Maluku.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 14,542,213.
"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate was 18.20 percent", he wrote.
For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 66,295 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.
Currently, 12,280,765 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 7,566,371 vaccines for the second dose. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40,349,051 people.
